#DigiPathUSA

Join us at the Bellevue hotel in Philadelphia on June 5 & 6 for the 2025 Digital Pathology & AI Congress.

With speakers from across the United States and others sharing implementation experiences, including in Europe, the meeting will explore the latest advances and applications of digital pathology and the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning in primary diagnosis and clinical research. You will also learn how the image-based informationenvironment is transforming the laboratory. The Pharma and Biotech track describes how drug development and laboratories embrace AI and computational pathology.

NEW FOR 2025

  • The ethics surrounding AI and Machine Learning
  • Training the next generation of pathologists
  • Practical advice on regulation
  • Exciting new speakers
  • Complimentary access to the colocated 2nd American Spatial Biology Congress
  • Proscia workshop: June 4 2025 From Pixels to Insight: Building Your Own AI Application.– Free to attend.  Proscia won’t just show you what it takes to bring AI to life in a pathology setting. You’ll actively participate in building AI yourself!

Open Letter:
ANIL PARWANI
Professor of Pathology and Biomedical Informatics, Chair of Pathology Department, The Ohio State University

The claims about AI and generative AI have often been exaggerated, for both good and bad. What is clear is that AI and generative AI hold promise to enhance diagnostic accuracy, improve workflow efficiency, and advance education and research.

However, as I said in a recent interview, “We must remember to separate artificial intelligence from real intelligence, real experience, and the ability to learn from our mistakes. We can rely on AI to take over tasks that are very manual or very labor intensive, and to do them well.”

Never-the-less, there is an exciting future being ushered in by these powerful tools. Yet, the integration of AI into pathology must be approached thoughtfully, addressing ethical considerations and ensuring rigorous validation to uphold the highest standards of patient care.

These considerations will be part of my opening keynote address “Precision Pathology 2025: From Digital Pathology Pixels to Generative AI Predictions” at the Digital Pathology & AI Congress in Philadelphia.

I look forward to engaging with you at this event.

Sincerely,

Anil Parwani
