How we handle personal data across our conferences, website and marketing communications.

Who we are
Global Engage is an international life science conference organiser. This policy explains what personal data we collect through global-engage.com and our events, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Any reference to "we", "us", or "our" refers to Global Engage.
What we collect
- Registration details — name, work email, company, job title, phone (optional) and any dietary or accessibility requirements you share when registering for an event.
- Payment details — processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We never see or store full card numbers.
- Marketing preferences — the mailing lists you subscribe to and any preferences you set.
- Website analytics — if you accept analytics cookies, aggregated usage data via Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. See our cookie policy.
How we use it
- To run the events you register for — including badge production, delegate lists (shared only where you have consented), and post-event follow-up.
- To send you information about events and content you have opted in to receive.
- To improve our website and understand what our community finds useful.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations.
Legal bases (UK/EU)
We rely on contract to deliver services you register for, legitimate interests for essential communications about your registration and modest business-to-business marketing to existing customers, and consent for analytics cookies and marketing sign-ups.
Sharing
We share personal data with service providers who help us run the events and the website — for example our payment processor, email service, and hosting infrastructure. We do not sell personal data. Sponsors receive delegate contact details only where you have explicitly opted in at the event.
Retention
Registration and financial records are retained for as long as required by tax and accounting law (typically 6–7 years). Marketing data is retained until you unsubscribe or we determine it is no longer relevant.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Email us at privacy@global-engage.com to exercise any of these rights. If you are in the UK you may also complain to the ICO.
