Muhammad Aslam presents on the clinical deployment of Digital Pathology and Artificial Intelligence in Wales. he describes the integration of AI into the lab workflow and the impact of using AI as an aiding tool for pathologists in clinical decision-making in routine pathology practice. The high performance that the AI solution demonstrated in identifying cancer and other clinically relevant pathologic features, enabled the triage of cancerous prostate cases and improved diagnostic quality. A user-experience survey showed high satisfaction levels as pathologists felt more confident to review and report slides using AI and preferred to continue working with the solution compared to a microscope.
