Computational Pathology: What is in it for the Practice.

Computational Pathology and Machine Learning promise to enhance the pathologist’s tool set and offer safer, more accurate and efficient case management and diagnoses. Incorporating internally developed and commercial algorithmic packages is only the first step in providing an improved standard of care, both for institutional patients and the world via integrated consultation networks. I will discuss how these tools can be leveraged in one’s daily work, utilizing both locally installed and cloud-based platforms. By extension, these algorithms can be Integrated into best-of-breed Enterprise Imaging solutions, with the result being a connected, distributed organization, with augmented productivity through integration and algorithmic tools.
